Spike Albrecht lights up first half: Michigan vs. Louisville
Who expected the star of the first half to be Spike Albrecht from Michigan? Yeah that's what I thought. Spike dropped 17 points in the first half, shooting 6-7 from the field, including 4-4 from the 3 point line. The 5' 11", 170 lb. freshman guard played out of his mind, and it was clear Louisville had no game plan coming in to stop the undersized guard. Let's be honest, no one saw this coming. Averaging just 7.6 minutes and 1.8 points per game on the season, Spike stepped up at the right time, on the biggest stage. It goes to show, it takes an entire team to put together a winning team. Sometimes it's the most unlikely players that make the difference. We'll see if Albrecht and the Wolverines can keep up the tempo in the second half.
