What a start to March Madness 2012 with two unbelievable comebacks. First, the Hilltoppers of Western Kentucky make a late comeback, trailing 16 with 4:51 left in the second half to beat Mississippi Valley State 59-58. This set the tournament record for biggest margin overcome with 5 minutes remaining in the game. The Delta Devils completely fell apart turning the ball over nearly every time WKU put the press on. If this game wasn't exciting enough, BYU managed to put on an even better show against Iona. The Cougars trailed by 25 points in the first half and pulled out a crazy comeback in the second half, beating Iona 78-72. All it took for BYU to make the run was a switch to zone defense and patience on offense, working for the best shot each possession. The Cougars settled into their game and their athleticism was too much for Iona to handle. BYU's 25 point comeback sets the new record for biggest comeback in tournament history.
